Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information TERRA processes, why it is needed and the choices available to you.

1. Data we process

  • Account data such as your email address and authentication method.
  • If you use Google sign-in, the verified email address and Google account identifier required to link your account.
  • Monitoring data you submit, including watch-area names, coordinates, radius, event filters and alert preferences.
  • Alert records generated when live events match your rules.
  • Billing references such as Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. TERRA does not store full card details.
  • Security and operational logs normally generated by the web server, such as IP address, request time and user agent.

2. Why we use it

We process this information to provide authentication, save your settings, perform monitoring, send requested alerts, operate subscriptions, prevent abuse, secure the service and provide support.

3. Service providers and data sources

TERRA may use Google for optional account sign-in, Stripe for subscription payments, email and hosting infrastructure for service delivery, and OpenStreetMap/Nominatim when you actively search for or reverse-resolve a location. Live environmental and space data comes from third-party public data providers; your private watch areas are not sent to those event-data providers merely to display their feeds.

4. Cookies and local storage

Essential session cookies are used for sign-in and security. TERRA also stores your cookie preference and may store interface preferences such as theme locally in your browser. See the Cookie Policy.

5. Retention

Account and monitoring data is retained while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary for security, billing, legal or dispute purposes. Cached public-data and geocoding responses may be retained to improve reliability and reduce external requests.

6. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal data. To make a privacy request, contact [email protected]. Mandatory legal or accounting retention may limit deletion of specific records.
